Students develop knowledge, skills and understanding of creating and interpreting images, ideas, concepts embodied in dance development. The study of dance works including those of the professional repertoire, within artistic and social contexts is an essential component in the development of understanding.
This year the student have studied the set work – Bird Song choreographed by Siobhan Davies, Swansong choreographed by Christopher Bruce, The Still Life at the Penguin Café choreographed by David Bintley, Cross Channel as Post Modern work choreographed by Lea Anderson.
Students reflect on achievement, evaluate strengths and weaknesses and then make appropriate modifications for success. Knowledge and understanding of the specified content when applied within the context of selected tasks will inform this evaluation and help candidates to succeed.
