Student Voice

TBOWA student voice met for their first meeting on Tuesday morning.

The Heads of House met with the mentor prefects from all 5 houses.

They completed a questionnaire which was devised by Heads of House. Their aims this year are to discuss current issues with the student body, they will be looking at teaching across the academy and the rewards system.

This morning’s meeting was a great start and the mentor prefects are feeling motivated and challenged. Pupils discussed how to develop peer mentoring within and between year groups to how to allow pupils to discuss and debate issues in a considered way showing respect for others’ ideas and points of view.

Student Voice provides opportunities for students to be confident, self-assured learners who evaluate and lead on the development of the curriculum and quality of teaching and learning.  Student Voice ensures that pupils take on suitable roles and responsibilities that allow pupils to make a positive contribution towards the Leadership and Management of the Academy.
