BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Enterprise Skills
This course is for students interested in developing core enterprise skills, knowledge and understanding. Links are made between theory and the world of work through practical case studies. Students will learn how to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, create a business plan, marketing strategy and financial targets based on thorough research of their market and business environment. Throughout the course, they will gain the confidence to react and adapt to change and reflect on their own experiences. These qualifications allow learners to interact with entrepreneurs and take responsibility for their actions within a supportive framework, whilst working on their core leadership and teamwork skills.
Two Mandatory Units:
Unit 1 – The Entrepreneurial Mindset
The aim of this unit is to enable learners to develop the mindset and skills that a successful entrepreneur needs for business.
Unit 2 – Creating a Vision for your Business Plan
The aim of this unit is for learners to understand how business ideas are created and gain the skills and confidence to generate their own.
One Optional Unit
100% coursework – internal assessment
This course is equivalent to 1 GCSE grade A* – C and is graded as:
Pass (C) Merit (B) Distinction (A) and Distinction* (A*)
The qualification provides a broad and solid foundation for progression to Level 3 BTEC Business or Level 3 BTEC Enterprise and Entrepreneurship and AS Level Business. This course will provide key knowledge and skills to progress to any Business related careers or Business start-up.
