Health and Social Care

Why choose Health and Social Care?

Health and Social Care covers caring for service users in a range of care settings and includes areas of Science, Psychology and Sociology. Students will be expected to complete assignments based on care settings and the workplace. Health and Social Care looks at a wide range of care settings; residential homes, hospitals, nurseries and schools. This will allow students to develop the necessary skills of career progression in the health and social care sector.

Students can choose to study the Extended Certificate (equivalent to 1 A Level) or the Diploma (equivalent to 2 A Levels).

How will I learn?

Learning will take place through a combination of lectures, videos, outside speakers, student-led research, group work and student presentations. Relevant work experience is also encouraged.
