What we offer

The Key Stage 3 curriculum is studied across three years, which enables students to complete their GCSE programme over a two-year period. Students in the Grammar Stream will usually complete the following GCSE curriculum: mathematics, statistics, English language and literature, a modern foreign language, RS (long or short course), double or triple science, history or geography and two chosen option subjects.

Students in the Grammar Stream are provided with additional careers advice and support to increase their awareness, skills and confidence in how to apply to university and progress to a professional careers. It is expected that students in the Grammar Stream would achieve outstanding GCSE and A-level grades and move on to universities including those in the Russell Group and Oxbridge.

Students in the Grammar Stream are encouraged to arrange their own work experience outside of school hours: a practice that is supported by the Academy. Continued work experience is vital to ensure that students are able to access places at top universities, and are prepared for the world of work.

Our Emmaus Centre offers a highly effective service for students with additional learning needs, with state-of-the-art facilities and expert practitioners to ensure that all students in the Grammar Stream are supported, regardless of their background.
