Mobile phones & Music players are NOT allowed in The Bishop of Winchester Academy and will be confiscated if seen.

High quality teaching and learning is a way of ensuring good behaviour in schools and at The Bishop of Winchester Academy we value good behaviour in the classroom, and elsewhere, to promote the Academy as a learning community and to ensure that classrooms are safe and effective learning environments.

Mobile devices including phones, smart watches, Fitbits and music players/devices/wireless headphones/airpods/speakers are not permitted at any time (even before or after school hours) anywhere on the Academy site.  Mobile devices can only be used once a student has exited the Academy site. Students and parents can communicate through main reception where students can make contact with home and receive messages from parents regarding any issues, alternatively contact can also be made via email through the student’s mentor or pastoral year leader.  Failure to comply with the Academy mobile device expectations will result in the mobile device being confiscated and will be available for collection one week from the date of confiscation.
