The Academy offers a variety of flight paths including level 3 academic and vocational courses. You can choose to study A levels, vocational subjects or a combination of these qualifications which demonstrate the breadth of skills that are increasingly required by the world of work and higher education.

A Levels 

At TBOWA 6^th Form you will study 3 A levels (or equivalent) coupled with our comprehensive Beyond the Classroom curriculum. It may be possible for a student to complete an additional A level in a chosen subject. A level subjects are graded A*-E.

Biology	Grade 7 or above in the associated Single Science or grade 77 or above in a Combined Science qualification

Physics
History	Grade 7 or above in History
English Language	Grade 6 or above in at least one English
English Literature
Computer Science	Grade 6 or above in Computer Science and Maths
Geography	Grade 6 or above in Geography
Religious Studies	Grade 6 or above in RS and at least one English
Psychology	Grade 5 or above in at least one English
Sociology	Grade 5 or above in at least one English

Vocational Subjects

Vocational level 3 courses can be single (equivalent to 1 A level), double (equivalent to 2 A levels) or triple (equivalent to 3 A levels). Typically, vocational qualifications are more coursework-based and are graded Distinction*-Pass.

Art & Design	BTEC Level 3	Grade 6 or Level 2 Merit or above in an Art-related subject (eg Photography)  (You must have a portfolio of evidence to document your creativity)
Applied Science	AAQ Level 3	Grade 55 or above in a Combined Science qualification
Business	BTEC Level 3	Grade 5 or Level 2 Merit or above in a Business-related subject (eg Enterprise and Marketing)

Additional Subjects

We also offer the Extended Project Qualification as additional course that students may study alongside their three subjects.

Entry Requirements

For all level 3 academic and vocational courses, the entry requirement will be 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above (including Maths and English) in addition to the specific entry criteria stated above.
