Academy Tours 2025

For September 2026 Year 7 starters

A tour is the best way to understand us and to see us at work!

We warmly invite you and your child to join us for a guided school tour with a senior leader. Come along for a chance to see our vibrant learning community in action, discover our facilities, hear directly from the Principal, and ask any questions you may have. Tours begin with a short welcome at 9.00 am, followed by a walk throughout the academy, specialist spaces and communal areas, and conclude around 10:15am.  You will have opportunities to ask questions during your visit. Whether you’re exploring secondary options or preparing for transition, seeing our day-to-day life is the best way to understand what makes The Bishop unique. Please register using the link below — we look forward to welcoming you.

Arrive from 9:00am for a welcome from a senior leader; group tour 9:15-10:15am.

Open Evening

Thursday 25th September 2025, 5:00-7:30pm

We were delighted to welcome many hundreds of visitors to our open evening for prospective Year 7 starters in September 2026.

The academy's doors opened to visitors from 5:00-7:30pm with Principal's addresses at 5.30pm and 6.30pm.

Students at the ‘Bishop’ thrive in a culture that is driven by ‘High Expectations – No Excuses’.  Our ‘ambitious curriculum’, ‘impressive range of extra-curricular activities’ and ‘wider opportunities’ support all to ‘Live Life to the Full’.  This was recognised by Ofsted (2023).

Our high quality careers progamme starts in Year 7.  ‘Leaders are aspirational for pupils’, ‘many achieve places at highly selective universities’ (Ofsted 2023) or competitive apprenticeships.

Our extensive new buildings provide a 21st century learning experience, rich in IT.

Our unique Christian ethos gives us a family feel where all are valued and encouraged to develop a sense of self-worth, pride in achievement and self confidence to make their own decisions.

See below for our prospectus, most recent Ofsted inspection and our admission policy.
