World Mental Health Day

Mental Health Awareness in Collective Worship
This week, our students are using their Acts of Collective Worship to learn more about mental health and wellbeing, linking to World Mental Health Day on 10 October.
The sessions are providing an important opportunity for students to think about what mental health means, why looking after our wellbeing is so important, and the positive steps we can all take to support ourselves and others. Students are also being encouraged to recognise that it is okay not to feel okay and that talking to someone and asking for support is a sign of strength.
World Mental Health Day is a valuable reminder that mental health is just as important as our physical health. Through these conversations, we hope to help our students develop greater awareness, empathy and confidence in looking after their own wellbeing and supporting those around them.
At TBOWA, we want every student to feel supported, valued and confident, and promoting positive mental health is an important part of this.
