Yr 7 Rugby

Last week, the Y7 Rugby team competed in a fiercely competitive tournament hosted at Bryanston School.

The players thoroughly enjoyed the event and arrived back at TBOWA covered in mud with smiles on their faces. For their first ever match together, the team performed admirably with strong tackles from the forwards and speedy passing and running with the ball from the backs. TBOWA came in joint 2nd in the group stage, losing to a strong Poole High team and beating All Saints in the final game. In the next round, TBOWA drew Twynham. This game was a battle with Twynham securing a 10-5 win in the last seconds of the match.

Throughout the tournament, Captain Oscar Reid displayed great levels of leadership and all the players should be really proud of themselves. We look forward to the next tournament in April.
