The Bishop of Winchester Academy welcomes applications for young people of all faiths and no faith for places in our secondary school and 6th Form.
If you are considering making an application you will be able to view the policy below. Applications for admission to the secondary school should be made through the Local Authority Admissions Team, with Supplementary Information Forms being submitted to ourselves.
Applications for admission for primary to secondary transition should be made by 31st October of each academic year to your own local authority admissions team.
Applications for in-year admissions should be made to BCP Council Admissions Team.

In accordance with Admissions Regulations, The Bishop of Winchester Academy will be undertaking admission appeals for unsuccessful applicants seeking admission to the Academy’s Year 7 in September 2020 in May and June 2020. In order to be guaranteed of having an appeal heard at this time, any request for an appeal must be submitted in writing to the Clerk to the Governors no later than Wednesday 1st April 2020. The request must include details of the grounds for your appeal in order that it may be accepted. Prospective appellants are advised that acceptance of an offer to another school will not prejudice your right to make an appeal to this Academy.
In light of the current situation, the academy have requested a variation to their 2021 – 2022 Admissions Policy to allow for the effect Covid-19 has had on church attendance.

If your child's date of birth is between 01.09.10 and 31.08.11 they will start secondary school in September 2022 and the closing date for on time applications is 31th October 2021.

It is very important that your application is received by this date as you will stand a much greater chance of securing a place in one of your preferred schools.
